Chapter 6 - The Birthing Position
The birthing position is thanksgiving! The translation of “thanksgiving” is grateful language. Notice, grateful language is the birthing position – after you have prayed the prayed of faith, after you have said what God has said in the present tense. “And said to his servant, ‘Go up now, look toward the sea.’ So he went up and looked, and said, ‘There is nothing.’ And seven times he said, ‘Go again’” (1 Kings 18:43). The servant here is ‘your feelings,” “situation,” and “experience.” You have prayed the prayer of faith, declared what God said in the present tense and now you are in the birthing position: “Thank You, I believe I receive.”
The servant is a type of your feelings and it says, “I do not see anything.” You are standing on the Word, believing the Word, and declaring the Word, saying “Thank You”’ and your feelings say, “I do not see anything.” Elijah said, “Go again,” and the Bible says, “He did it seven times.” Seven is the number of completion or maturity. In other words, Elijah stayed completely in the birthing position. He stayed completely in faith. He did not let the opinion of his feelings or circumstances get him out of position. He did not even respond when the servant said, “I do not see anything”’ he just said, “God again. Because I said it and God said it, I believe it – go again.”
Then it came to pass the seventh time that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you’” (1 Kings 18:44).
There had not been rain. All he saw was a cloud the size of a man’s hand: This is the knowing that comes in the spirit before the manifestation, if you do not move out of the position. Not one drop of rain had come yet, so what is this? This is the preparation that comes if you believe you receive. Do you believe your need id met? Prepare! Stop hesitating and prepare! This is not a trick – it is a walk of faith. It is not Bible roulette – you do not rub the Bible and wish! The prayer of faith will bring complete deliverance for spirit, soul and body and will deliver your children, and will change your situation!
