Chapter 8 - Receiving the End of Your Faith
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuiness of your faith, being much more precious that god that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be of un to praise, honor, an glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith – the salvation of your souls (1 Peter 1:6-9).
My presbytery and I were in prayer one day when the Spirit and the anointing of God literally fell, and the presbytery began to share this word. Little did they know that the Spirit of God had put that same word in me several days before – it was a confirmation. The Holy Ghost said to me, “Son, I want you to declare to this people that they are receiving the end of their faith, but also to help them understand what that means and how to do it.”
In First Peter 1:9, the Bible says, “receiving the end of your faith,” which is “the salvation of your souls.” The soul of man is the mind, the will and the emotions. Now the word salvation here is soteria, which means the complete deliverance or release. When you came to Christ Jesus and were born again, your spirit became as saved as it will ever be. Your spirit fan not get any more saved; you are redeemed, reconciled, and have been made on in spirit with God. The Bible says that “He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6:17). The work for the Christians now is discipline, working out; and this is why the Bible says, “…work out your own salvation in fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12). What has to be worked out is your soul’s salvation, which basically means getting your mind, will and emotions to catch up with the truth that is already happening within your spirit.
When Peter says “the end of your faith,” he means the objective of your faith. The picture here is of a runner in a race and the end of your faith is the tape at the finish line. Please hear this: The end of your faith is not your manifestation. If you will learn how to receive the end of your faith, your manifestation is only a little while away. If today you can receive the end of your faith, whatever you are believing, desiring, and praying for – whatever God has promised, even though the enemy has impeded and circumstance has said will never happen – is going to fall like a tumbler into your life. Receiving the end of your faith is the salvation or the deliverance of your mind, will, and emotions.
Again, let me qualify that Bible faith is conviction or persuasion plus corresponding action. Faith has both a vital principle and a mental disposition. The vital principle of faith is that faith speaks what it believes. The mental disposition of faith is that faith is always present tense or now! So when the Bible talks about receiving the end of your faith, it is talking about receiving the end of your conviction or persuasion or what you believe plus your corresponding action. This is what speaking what you believe in the present tense, renewing your mind, and making sure the Word of God is constantly coming out of your mouth, is all about. It is about getting you to the place where you can receive the “end of your faith,” which is the deliverance of your mind, will and emotions. Now please get this: When Peter says “the end of your faith,” the objective is speaking God’s Word. And this is why God says, “Speak My Word,” in the present tense, like you have it. If you do that, you will receive the end of your faith, and the manifestation will fall just like that.
